Highway 80 can be tiring to drive with the Tahoe traffic on weekends or when Highway 80 requires chains or Highway 80 is closed due to snow. When you are driving up to Tahoe, Truckee or Reno, and a snowstorm hits, Highway 80 can be a stressful drive.
We are a great option for spending the night and waiting for better driving conditions when Highway 80 requires chains or is shut down, as it gets pretty crazy driving over the mountains with an active snowstorm. We have over 20 restaurants within a mile and probably the best beds in 20 miles! And we have bowling! Refuel and recharge, Truckee is only an hour’s drive from us and the Bay Area just over an hour.
